WALT - Use speech marks

Last week we had some special guests come into Team 15. 

Gnomeo and Doug.

Gnomeo and Doug are two gnomes that the Sunnyhills teachers have been taking on adventures.

When they came to Team 15, the children used them to help us write some conversations between 2 or more people using correct punctuation.

We were super successful in creating conversations. It was a little tricky to put the punctuation in the correct places. We are learning fast though!

Gnomeo & Doug

It all began on a sunny Sunday morning when a delivery truck rumbled down past my house, when suddenly…The doorbell rang and it was ear-splitting, it never stopped! I finally was able to dash to the door and outside stood Doug and Gnomeo!

“Hey there Chloe!” cried Doug.

“Um hi” I replied confused. After a while I suddenly realised! “Now, I  know what you want to do, you want to play at the park!” I exclaimed.

“Let’s go!” cried Gnomeo. When we got there we had a picnic and played until we were exhausted.
